Abstract: Silently progressing metabolic bone disorders are widely increased that affects the quality of life as one of the key health issues today. The aim of the study is to evaluate the potential of Consciousness Energy Healing based vitamin D3 and DMEM medium on bone health parameters. Vitamin 3 and DMEM medium as test items (TI), were divided into two parts. Each sample received the Consciousness Energy Healing Treatment by Thomas Charles Slade and those samples were labeled as the Biofield Energy Treated (BT) samples, while the other parts of each sample were denoted as the untreated test items (UT). Alkaline phosphatase enzyme (ALP) activity, collagen levels and bone mineralization as bone health biomarkers were studied. The cell viability (˃84%) using MTT assay showed that the test items were found to be safe. ALP level was significantly increased by 218.6% (100 µg/mL), 263.9% (10 µg/mL), and 135.7% (100 µg/mL) in the UT-DMEM+BT-TI, BT-DMEM+UT-TI, and BT-DMEM+BT-TI groups, respectively. Collagen content was significantly increased by 147.6%, 153.1%, and 240.8% at 10, 50, and 100 µg/mL, respectively in the UT-DMEM+BT-TI group, while 150.8% and 212.9% at 50 and 100 µg/mL, respectively in BT-DMEM+BT-TI group as compared with the untreated group. Moreover, the percent of bone mineralization was significantly increased by 104.6% and 185.9% in UT-DMEM+BT-TI and BT-DMEM+BT-TI groups, respectively at 10 µg/mL, while 119%, 42.6%, and 102.3% at 0.1, 1, and 10 µg/mL, respectively in BT-DMEM+UT-TI group as compared with the untreated group. Overall, the Biofield Energy Treated vitamin 3 and DMEM would play an important role to control the osteoblast function, improves bone mineralization, and calcium absorption in many bone disorders. Moreover, the bone health parameters such as collagen, calcium and ALP were significantly improved and can be used as supplement to improve bone health. Based on the outstanding results, it is assumed that the Biofield Energy Treated vitamin D3 could be a powerful alternative dietary sources and supplements to fight against various bone related diseases including low bone density and osteoporosis, Paget’s disease of bone, rickets, deformed bones, osteomalacia, bone and/or joint pain, increased frequency of fractures, osteoma, hormonal imbalance, stress, aging, bone loss and fractures.

Abstract: Current study aimed to offer structural model regarding role of Self-Concept and Self-Handicapping in eating disorder. Looking at high trend of morbidity and mushrooming number of eating disorder in clinical and non-clinical settings and its antagonistic features among afflicted individuals, and with respect to clinical implication and, theoretical dimensions, conducting current study seemed inevitable. Materials and Methods: This study was descriptive-correlational study. Statistical society of current study consisted of 750 individuals with BMI≥25, who were admitted to nutrition clinic at Sari General Hospital (Sari, Iran). Sample size was specified as 226 according to Krejcie and Morgan Table. We used Beck Self-Concept Test (BSCT) with respect to assessing self-concept, SHS with respect to self-handicapping assessment, EDDS (Eating disorder diagnostic scale) regarding assessment of eating disorders (anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa and binge eating disorder). With respect to data analyze, SPSS-22 and structural equation modeling and regression model via Lisrel test were used. Results: According to results of current study, self-concept and self-handicapping pose positive and influential roles with respect to anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa and binge eating disorder. Conclusion: Eating disorders are one of the leading causes of disturbance especially among women. Various factors are involved in pathogenesis of this disorder. In current study we delineated structural model with respect to Self-Concept and Self-Handicapping and eating disorders.

Abstract: The purpose of this work is to show the importance of the testicular artery and the deleterious effects of its injury from a literature review. There were 75 papers relating the testicular vascularization during the period from 1949 to 2017, coming from base electronic data. The corresponding articles concerned retrospective and prospective studies, review articles published in journals with editorial board, reading and science committee. These articles were written in French and English. The results show the success rate of the Fowler-Stephens orchidopexy was varied. The testicular artery maintains testicular thermoregulation, has an endocrine and nutrition roles, besides it was the artery of fertility. The intratesticular anastomoses weren’t seen between the testicular, cremasteric and differential arteries to rats, human and other mammalians. The testicular artery is the only artery that irrigates the testicular parenchyma. However, studies have observed extratesticular communications between the testicular, deferential and cremasteric arteries. In conclusion, the testicular artery is the main artery providing blood supply to the testicle. This artery plays an important role from a physiological point of view. Its lesions have important consequences on the functional and structural future of the testicle. This invites the strict respect of this artery during surgery spermatic cord or its environment.

Abstract: In 1988, the World Health Assembly of the World Health Organization (WHO) launched the Global Polio Eradication Initiative (GPEI), with the resolve to interrupt transmission of wild poliovirus (WPV) worldwide by the year 2000. Eighteen years after the intended year of eradication, that target is yet to be achieved. To investigate the reasons behind this, a check of recent publications on poliomyelitis and polio virus was carried out. The databases and websites of institutions and organizations involved in the polio eradication programme were also checked. The findings showed that although the goal of interrupting polio transmission has not been meet, a lot of progress has been made. By 2006, transmission of WPV had been interrupted in all but four countries: Afghanistan, India, Nigeria and Pakistan. In February 2012, India was delisted from the list of polio-endemic countries leaving the remaining 3 countries as the only endemic countries in the world. Wild type 2 and 3 viruses have both been eliminated from circulations. The number of polio cases in the remaining endemic countries has reduced drastically. Nigeria is close to the target, but is yet to be certified polio-free, having experienced a setback in 2016. However, as long as transmission of WPV continues in these countries, the world cannot be free from the disease, as these countries serve as reservoirs of infection and sources of export of the virus to other countries. To be able to achieve the target of interrupting the transmission of WPV in the remaining endemic countries, the identified problems, particularly conflict in the countries concerned, will have to be factored into the programmes geared toward eradication of the disease.
